Ramadan is a sacred period for Muslims, marked by fasting from dawn to dusk, increased devotion to prayer, and acts of charity. This month-long observance serves as a time for spiritual reflection, self-improvement, and expressing gratitude for Allah’s blessings.

In a press statement issued on Sunday in Osun State, SYNW President Wole Adedoyin expressed the Society’s deep respect for the dedication and commitment Muslims demonstrate during Ramadan.

“Ramadan is a time for immense spiritual growth,” Adedoyin said. “We commend the Muslim community for their commitment to their faith and for the positive values they exemplify during this holy month.

“The SYNW recognises the importance of Ramadan in fostering a sense of community and social responsibility. Acts of charity, known as Zakat, are a cornerstone of the observance, encouraging Muslims to help those less fortunate.

Adedoyin remarked, “The emphasis on charity during Ramadan serves as a powerful reminder of our shared humanity and the importance of giving back to those in need.

“The Society believes that Ramadan’s message of peace, compassion, and self-discipline resonates deeply with all Nigerians.”

“The values upheld during Ramadan are fundamental to building a more just and equitable society for all.”The SYNW hopes that the spirit of Ramadan will inspire Nigerians of all faiths to come together and promote interfaith understanding and cooperation.Adedoyin emphasised, “As Nigerians, we share a common destiny. Ramadan presents an opportunity to strengthen the bonds that unite us and work towards a brighter future for our nation.”The Society finally extended its heartfelt wishes for a peaceful and spiritually enriching Ramadan to all Muslims.”
