National Chairman of All Progressives Congress Abdullahi Ganduje, on Wednesday told Nigerians to keep faith with the country saying that the party has answers to the myriads of challenges.
Ganduje who was in Gombe for the grand finale campaign and presentation of flags to 11 APC candidates ahead of the Local Government Area election scheduled for this Saturday, made this disclosure at Pantami Township Stadium.
The former Kano State governor who received defectors from Peoples Democratic Party, New Nigeria Peoples Party and others noted that Nigeria has APC and the others.
He said, “We have today attracted thousands of decampees to our great party the APC. We have received you with confidence, we assure you that APC is the party for the masses, party for working class and it’s the party for everybody. We hold you in high esteem and all the decampees have the same status with all our members who have been with us, you are most welcome; the two parties are APC and the others.”
Encouraging the defectors to remain resolute with APC, Ganduje lampooned NNPP saying that it fragmented into two camps adding, “The decampees from PDP thousands of them are now with us including a flag bearer for local government election who was given flag yesterday to contest local government election he has decided to throw away that flag and he has arrived into our great party. For Professor Alkali, he is from a micro insignificant party that has two factions one faction has a certificate and board of trustees and the other faction has no document to present only a bunch of rhetorics, a bunch of lies, deception, confusion he has decided to come into our party.”
“Like you said you have studied our constitution and seen so far what we have achieved at the National under Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and you have seen what we have achieved in Gombe State APC is the answer to Nigeria’s problem,” Ganduje added.
Speaking on behalf of the APC LG candidates, former Deputy Minority Whip Binta Bello, canvassed for support of electorates ahead of the poll.
She lauded the party leadership for finding her and the other candidates worthy of the offices.
