….provides items for constituents through senators
The North-East Development Commission, Gombe office, has donated Agricultural equipment, inputs, and machineries to Gombe State Government as well as three senators representing the senatorial district zones to boost farming in the state.
The NEDC made the donation at the Commission’s warehouse located at B. C. J. A, in Gombe metropolis.

While presenting the items to the Gombe State Ministry of Agriculture as well as the three senatorial districts, the acting state Coordinator in the office, Alhaji Rufa’i Baba-Manu, said the gesture was out of the commission’s desire to boost farming activities being that Gombe is an agrarian state.
According to Baba-Manu, the commission is working day and night to help the public in their mandate of reviving the North-East region especially the under privilege to improve their quality of life and ease their sufferings.
Baba-Manu, called on the beneficiaries to make good use of the items “as many are called few were selected but yet only the fitted ones survive,” he added.
Receiving the items, Gombe state commissioner for Agriculture Dr Barnabas Danmalle, who was represented by Mr Jonathan Bulus, appreciated the NEDC, saying the gesture was in line with the Governor Muhammad Yahaya’s vision to boost agricultural farming across the state.
He assured the Commission that the agricultural inputs and elements will reach the needy accordingly.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the items donated to the Gombe State Government were, 2000 liters of NPK liquid fertilisers, 1000 liters of Urea, 3000 liters of herbicide and 500 units of water pump.
While Senator Mohammed Danjuma Goje of Gombe central, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe north, and Senator Anthony Isiyaku Yaro of Gombe South each received 300 liters of NPK liquid fertilisers, 200 liters of Urea, 700 liters of herbicide, 100 units of water pump, and 50 cooking pots for their constituents respectively.
