No fewer than four graduates have secured Federal Government placements, in line with Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s administration commitment to creating and securing employment for the youths in Gombe State.



Speaking during the presentation of appointment letters to the beneficiaries, the Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, represented by Director General Research and Documentation Government House, Dr Mua’zu Shehu, said lack of employment among the teeming youth can lead to social menace.
He noted that it portends to negative consequences on society hence, the governor’s consistent effort at utilising every opportunities especially at the Federal level to close the gap.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that recently about seven youths benefitted from similar gestures in the state.





Njodi noted that the state is left behind especially when compared with the numerical strength of other states in the federal civil service.
While congratulating the beneficiaries of the governors gesture, Njodi urged them to be diligent in the new place of work and to be good ambassadors of the state, adding “Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya will not relent in his unwavering effort to secure more employment opportunities for youths across the state.”
Our correspondent reports that those employed include Yakubu Danjuma, Lecturer with the Federal College of Health Sciences Azare, Shu’bu Saidu Musa Federal Medical Centre Azare, Bello Idiris Bello and M. Musa, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi respectively.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr Jidare Philibus, lauded the governor for his leadership qualities, developmental policies and programmes and more importantly his concerns for the unemployed youths by going the extra mile to secure employment opportunities irrespective of tribe or religious differences.
He prayed God to bless the Governor and the present administration and assured of the employees loyalty and their commitments to serve their father land in their respective places of work.
Present during the brief presentation was the Senior Special Assistant SSA to the Governor, Alhaji Sani Garba who also Congratulated the beneficiaries of the Governor’s benevolence.
