Nigeria is planning to make 4,000 metric tonnes of lithium every day, according to Vice President Kashim Shettima.
On Monday in Abuja, Vice-President Shettima mentioned that Nigeria is ready to produce 4,000 tonnes of lithium daily.
At the start of a two-day discussion on improving Nigeria’s mining industry, Shettima mentioned that President Bola Tinubu is set to launch the country’s biggest lithium factory. This factory can handle up to 4,000 metric tonnes of lithium daily.
He observed that the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake conducted a significant event for the inauguration of the Lithium factory in Nasarawa in 2023, with plans to yield 18,000 metric tonnes of lithium daily.
At the roundtable, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state represented Mr. Shettima.
