The White Paper drafting Committee on Gombe City Master Plan and Grazing, Forest Reserve and Grazing Routes on Thursday, submitted it report.




Receiving the report on behalf of Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, the Secretary to Government of the State, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, appreciated the Chairman, and Committee members for their unwavering commitment to deliver on their mandate.
Yahaya noted that White papers drafted out findings of committee report meant to provide government with focused direction on implementing key recommendations for the good of Gombe State.
He said, “Government has realised that over the years the state lacks effective laws that govern City Master plan as well as Grazing,Forest Reserves and Cattle Routes hence, the constitution of the committees to enable government process and enact enabling laws that will protect town planning.”
Yahaya further assured that government will swing into action to implement those vital and key recommendations that are viable and in line with the development agenda of the current administration.
Submitting the report, Chairman of the White Paper drafting Committee Aliyu Kamara, commended Yahaya who has consistently supported them through the SGS.
Kamara added that “The committee assiduously worked to come up with implementable recommendations for the smooth formulation of policies and legal framework needed for development purposes.”
The submission of the report which took place at the SGS’ Conference hall had in attendance the Head of Civil Service, Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries, PPS, and directors.
