The Nigerian Railway Corporation has announced free ride commencing from Wednesday May 1 to 4.

PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that this is a sequel to inaugural train ride from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to Aba, Abia State.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the NFC, saying “The Corporation wishes to notify the general public that train ride within the corridor that there will be free of charge May 1 to May 4, 2024 (Wednesday to Saturday).”
The NRC further urged everyone within the corridor to explore this means of transportation adding, “it is safe, fast and reliable.”
The statement disclosed that departure time from Port Harcourt is 8:00 hours and gets to ABA at10:15 hours, adding that departure time from ABA is 15:00 hours and gets to Port Harcourt at 17:15 hours
The statement added that after the expiration of the free train ride date. The fare for your journey will be as follows;
Port Harcourt—-Aba—-Port Harcourt (N1,500 for first class coach)
Port Harcourt—-Aba—-Port Harcourt (N800 for second class coach).
