The Director-General, Due Process office, Gombe State, Babayola Mohammed, was among some Nigerians that were appointed by the United Nations International Peace Advocate.



The recognition of Mohammed by the Positive Livelihood Award Centre, a United Nations-based organisation was in recognition of his contribution in peace building, commitment in service to humanity and dexterity.
The colourful event which took place at the Federal Palace Hotel Lagos at the weekend, was witnessed by some high profile dignitaries, families and friends of the awardee.
Reacting to the appointment, elated Mohammed, thanked the organisation for identifying his efforts adding that “I am only doing the best I could to humanity not knowing that someone or a group of people such as UN-POLAC is watching. I thank them for finding me worthy of this recognition and will continue to contribute positively to the organisation and humanity at Large.”
He assured of his unwavering commitment as an advocate of peace not only in Nigeria but the world at large.
