In a ceremonious event held at the District Head of Shango Palace in Akko Local Government Area, Gombe State, the Traders Association of Tumfure market welcomed its new chairman, Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadarim.

The event held in the presence of District Head Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Zailani, Abdulkadarim was entrusted with the responsibility of leading the vibrant community of traders.
Alhaji Danladi Adamu, the chairman of Akko LGA, popularly referred to as Speaker, voiced his unwavering support for the traders’ association, emphasising the unity required to propel the LGA forward.

Councillor Garko Ward, Alhaji Abdullahi Yankari, echoed these sentiments, affirming the council’s dedication to working hand in hand with the traders for the betterment of the local community.
Their assurance were reinforced by a pledge from the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, to sustain its backing of traders’ associations across Gombe state.

Security concerns were not overlooked, as the Divisional Police Headquarters of Tumfure, Akko LGA, represented by CSP Auwal Garba, vowed to prioritise the safety and protection of traders’ lives and property. This commitment underscores the crucial partnership between law enforcement and the business community in maintaining a secure environment conducive to economic activity.
Amidst the ceremonial proceedings, ten executive committee members out of the total 27 were sworn in, signaling the beginning of a new era for the traders’ association. Their induction symbolises a collective dedication to serve the interests of the market community with diligence and integrity.
As Abdulkadarim assumes his new role at the helm of the association, he faces the formidable task of steering the organisation through the intricacies of commerce, while fostering collaboration with local authorities and law enforcement agencies. With unity, determination, and unwavering support from all stakeholders, the traders of Tumfure Market are poised to thrive and contribute significantly to the socio-economic fabric of Akko LGA and beyond.
