Ram Sellers at Tike market in Pantami have lamented low patronage following high cost of the animals.

Speaking, Dan Garba told our correspondent that his lowest ram sells for N150, 000 , adding that last year they were sold for N75,000 to N85,000.

He blamed the high cost of the feed to the  reason for the increase in price, adding “Now we have N800,000 ram  but last year, we sold that between N350,000 to N450,000. The cheapest ram here is N150,000 only. It’s not not our fault that was ram we sold for N75,000 last year everything is experience.”

Garba disclosed that he has been having low patronage, “Buyers are not coming like before. I know it’s because of the cost but we are hopeful that buyers will come,” he added.

Sultan Abubakar, another ram seller noted that he depends on the business not survive, “If customers don’t come how am I going to take care of my family but I can’t sell below cost price in order to sell. I will not realise my money.”
