…..Process progressing gradually
The progress of electricity distribution is currently moving slowly, with the Shiroro Substation partly restored to supply power to the Katampe substation.
In a recent statement, the Transmission Company of Nigeria informed that the nationwide blackout experienced yesterday was caused by the organised Labour’s planned strike, leading to the shutdown of the National Grid.
Even though the Nigerian Labour Congress has ended the strike, progress in restoring the grid has been slow. Only Shiroro Hydropower is gradually increasing its output to supply the transmission lines.
