The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has put aside the memo regarding the new minimum wage.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, informed the State House Correspondents that all 39 agenda items were discussed and addressed.
He mentioned that the Tripartite Committee had presented its findings, along with a memo confirming the submission.
He mentioned that the Council was unable to make a decision on the matter as it requires involvement from Local Government, states, the Federal Government, the Organized Private Sector, and Labour unions.
He mentioned that the memo regarding the updated minimum wage has been postponed, allowing President Bola Tinubu to seek extensive input before presenting the final proposal to the National Assembly.
