Meta, the social media company, has made an announcement that content creators based in Nigeria and Ghana will have the opportunity to earn money on Facebook as of Monday, July 1, 2024.

As per the company’s announcement, the introduction of In-Stream Ads on Facebook and Facebook Ads on Reels will offer creators the opportunity to generate income through the creation of unique videos and fostering a sense of community.

Meta emphasised that in order to utilise either product, creators must satisfy and consistently adhere to Facebook’s Partner Monetisation Policies and Content Monetisation Policies, as well as be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Moreover, Meta has specified that creators must satisfy specific eligibility criteria, including having a minimum of 5,000 followers, for in-stream advertisements.
