Faruk Mu’azu Campaign Team for 2024 Nigeria Union of Journalists Gombe State Chairmanship, has received massive support as the delegation on Thursday visited Jewel FM, NTA and Federal Information chapels.


Presenting the NUJ chairmanship candidate for Gombe State, at the various chapels, the Director-General campaign Umar Kumo, solicited the support and cooperation of the members during the forthcoming election.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that based on latest notice shared by the electoral committee’s Secretary Saidu Bappah, the new date for the NUJ poll is Wednesday August 28, 2024.
Kumo described Mu’azu as the right candidate judging by his track records experience and exposure that can be tapped to facilitate development in the union.
He also introduced other members of his team to include Emmanuel Akila, vying for Vice Chairman; Shu’aibu Umar for Secretary; Abubakar Mahmud Tukur, for Assistant Secretary; and Hauwa Salama Theman, as Treasurer; among others describing them as fit and capable to take the union to an enviable position.
Addressing members Mu’azu promised to use his connection within and outside the state to facilitate development at NUJ in Gombe if elected into office.
Mu’azu disclosed his four point agenda to include facilitation of the completion of NUJ Secretariat, formation of cooperative society that will cater for the welfare of members, reviving insurance scheme for the members as well as ensuring training and retraining to build capacity of members.
