…Compels private healthcare providers to enrol their staff in organised private sector programme
The Gombe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency, has announced that it will extend the BHCPF programme for current beneficiaries by one year, until it can provide a sustainable alternative for them.
The revelation was made by the Agency’s Team Lead, Dr Abubakar Musa at the sixth GoHealth Provider Forum. The team lead called on Healthcare providers to continue providing qualitative services as it has always done, despite the fact that the ID card has expired.
He reiterated that GoHealth has continued to, and will continue to pay capitations for the BHCPF beneficiaries for a year.
The Team Lead revealed however stated with dismay that the Agency has recieved complaints of healthcare providers denying services to BHCPF beneficiaries on the grounds that their ID cards have expired despite receiving their capitation apriori.
He warned that facilities caught henceforth will be decisively dealt with. He called on them to carry all their staff along so as to avoid these miscommunication.
He further called on Facilities especially situated in the Local Government Areas to augment GoHealth efforts at intensifying dependent enrollment, as it will lead to increase and expansion of the UHC net.
“Health facilities should also be good ambassadors of GoHealth in creating awareness in your communities for your colleagues in the Local Government Areas to go an enroll their dependents,” he said.
While, admitting that obtaining National Identification Number (NIN), has been a challenge, Dr. Musa announced that there GoHealth will soon begin issuing NIN in all it’s local government office.
Furthermore, the Agency has called on Private Healthcare providers to ensure they also enroll their staff in the GoHealth organised private sector programme.
The Team Lead stated that for the Private Hospitals and Clinics to continue partnering with GoHealth they must show a good example.
