The District Head of Hinna, Alhaji Idris Isah Ngurkuma III, has praised the North-East Development Commission Gombe office and the Gombe State Government, led by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for rehabilitating the Government Art Secondary School in Dadin Kowa.
He expressed his gratitude during a thank-you visit to the Commission’s office in Gombe.
Alhaji Ngurkuma III commended the rehabilitation and upgrading of the school, which now provides a conducive learning environment for students and teachers.
He also requested additional projects, including renovation of the Hinna Maternity to modern standards, citing its dilapidated state and threat to patients and healthcare personnel.
The traditional leader urged for intervention in rebuilding the Gombe-Biu road, which is causing traffic congestion and safety hazards.
Assistance for farmers affected by water flooding in the Dadin Kowa farmland, proposing measures to prevent future flooding.
The acting State Coordinator of the NEDC Gombe office, Alhaji Rufa’i Baba Manu, appreciated the district head’s visit and assured him that they would consider his requests.
He commended Alhaji Ngurkuma III for his proactive approach in advocating for his people’s needs and promised to work closely with him to address the district’s issues within their capability.
