Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has set a new record for the most-watched TikTok livestream in Africa, drawing a total of 389,800 viewers.
The milestone was achieved on a live stream co-hosted with popular TikTok creators Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq on Wednesday, October 30.
At its peak, the stream had over 164,000 simultaneous viewers. During the session, Davido received more than 377 lion gifts, each valued at $400.
Davido announced that he would distribute the earnings from the gifts to his co-hosts, Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq.
Previously, Peller held the record for the most-watched TikTok live stream in Africa, which he set during a session featuring singer Tiwa Savage.
