The Gombe Diocese is set to celebrate its Silver Jubilee Anniversary in grand style, honouring several prominent Nigerians for their outstanding contributions to the society.

The four-day celebration, scheduled to hold from November 14 to 17, 2024, will feature a ₦500 Million Naira Fund Raising for the Walter Miller College of Nursing Sciences, Kaltungo.
According to a letter jointly signed by Ven Dr Chukwuma Ejikeme, Chairman Anniversary Committee; Rev Donatus Ukoha, Secretary; the awardees were carefully selected for their selfless service and dedication to the development of the state and nation at large.

The Most Rev’d Henry Ndukuba, Archbishop, Metropolitan & Primate of All Nigeria, will be honoured alongside Engineer Sale Mohammad, Mai Kaltungo, traditional ruler and celebrated Pilot.
Other awardees include Chief Sir John Agbata, Managing Director/CEO of Gombe Pharmaceutical Company Ltd, and Chief Mrs Abigail Peter Fada, former Programme Manager of Gombe State Agricultural Development Programme.

The event will attract top dignitaries, including Alhaji Muhammadu Yahaya, Executive Governor of Gombe State and Chairman of Northern States Governors Forum, who will serve as Special Guest of Honour.
Senator Hope Uzodimma, Executive Governor of Imo State, and Mr. Peter Obi, former Governor of Anambra State and former Presidential candidate of Labour party, are also expected to attend.
The Primate of All Nigeria, His Grace, Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, will be the Father of the Day, while Ven. David Ebenor, PhD, will deliver the keynote address.
Rt. Rev. Cletus Ajigben Tambari, Bishop of Gombe Diocese, will host the event, which will hold at the Cathedral Church of Saint Peter, Bolari, Gombe, starting at 10:00 am daily.
The Silver Jubilee Anniversary celebration promises to be a momentous occasion, recognising the contributions of esteemed individuals and promoting the growth of the Walter Miller College of Nursing Sciences.
