In response to severe flooding that recently impacted communities across Shongom Local Government Area in Gombe State, Chairperson Hajiya Fatima Bello, distributed essential relief items to residents affected by the disaster.

“The support aims to help families recover from the disaster’s aftermath,” Hajiya Fatima Binta Bello stated. “I urge the public to continue supporting the government at all levels, emphasizing unity and community resilience in facing such challenges.”
Gombe State House of Assembly member, Mr Gayus Golkos, praised Governor Yahaya’s administration, calling Hajiya Fatima Binta Bello a “fitting choice for Shongom LGA.” He advised beneficiaries to use the relief materials “judiciously.”
Alhaji Abdulkadir Waziri, Gombe State Commissioner for Local Government, described Hajiya Bello as a “standout leader among her peers” for her dedication. “We will remain committed to supporting LGAs under Governor Yahaya’s administration,” he assured.
Barrister Sani A.A. Haruna, Chairman Gombe LGA and Chairman of the Gombe Council of Local Government Chairmen (ALGON), commended Bello’s compassionate response. “Further assistance could follow in the future,” he promised.
Beneficiaries, including Abubakar Ibrahim, Samuel Danba, and Emeline Yohana, expressed deep gratitude. “We pledge to use the materials responsibly to support our recovery,” they said.
