Taraba State Judicial Service Commission, has lauded the harmonious working relationship between the state government and the judiciary.
A statement signed by the secretary, Barrister Talatu Abubakar, on behalf of the chief Judge, Justice Joel Agya, the commission disclosed that the harmonious relationship between governor Kefas and the Judiciary has attracted huge success in the development of the judicial system in Taraba.

“We wish to sincerely thank governor Agbu Kefas for the harmonious working relationship we have enjoyed during his administration. The harmonious working relationship that has existed between the executive and judiciary under the governor’s administration has attracted positive impact for the development of the judicial system.
“Within the shortest time of the administration, we have achieved greatness than ever before.
“Due to the governor’s commitment and adherence to the rule of Law that is essential to the social, political, cultural and economic wellbeing of the citizens and residents of Taraba State, the JSC was able to achieve unprecedented fit.
“Providing an enabling environment for the State Judiciary to function, the JSC has put in place a sound and well-functioning judicial system.
“It is with the cooperation of governor Kefas that the commission had during a meeting held on the 15th November, took a decision on the retirement of Barr. Bartholomew R Kaigama, Chief Registrar, High court of Justice with effect from 29th September 2024. The commission Approved the appointment of Barr. James C. Machoko as Acting Chief Registrar, High Court of Justice with effect from 3 October, 2024.
“The commission also approved the appointment of Barrister Useni Galadima as acting Deputy Chief Registrar, High Court of Justice. Approved the appointment of Barr Victoria Barnabas as acting Director, Area Courts Division, Approved the appointment of Barr. Mohammed Lotto, Acting Director, Litigation High Court of Justice, Approved the appointment of Barr Ishaku Umar as Acting Director Litigation Sharia Court of Appeal Jalingo, Approved the appointment of Barr. Philip Kwakwa as acting Chief Registrar, Customary Court of Appeal Jalingo.
“The commission also Approved the appointment of Barr. Christian Jonah as acting Deputy Chief Registrar Customary Court of Appeal Jalingo, approved the appointment of Barr. Garba Samuel Garba, acting Director Litigation Customary Court of Appeal Jalingo.
“It’s equally approved the confirmation of appointments of Victoria Barnabas and Aminu Misa Kunini as Substantive Directors Litigation, High Court and Personnel Management for Area Courts respectively, and adopted the sub-committee on promotion reports for the interview Conducted,” the statement disclosed.
The commission thanked the chief Judge, Justice Joel Agya for his efforts in creating a good working relationship between the executive and the judiciary.
