The University of Benin Teaching Hospital has been honored with the prestigious Award of Excellence for Best Hospital in Effective Service Delivery by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.

UBTH has consistently demonstrated excellence in healthcare delivery, providing secondary and tertiary care to the Midwestern Region of Nigeria since its establishment in 1973.
