Concerned about the well-being of its citizens, Gombe State Government has sent a high-powered delegation on a sympathy visit to the victims of Christmas accident.

PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the accident occurred while some Christian faithful were on procession for the traditional Christmas homage to the Gombe Emirs palace and Government House respectively.

The Deputy Governor, Manassah Jatau, alongside the Secretary to Government of the State, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, and heads of security agencies were received on the visit to the FTH by the Chief Medical Director Dr Abdullahi Yusuf, who took them round to sympathise with affected victims and family members.
The Gombe State CAN Chairman Rev. Father Joseph Shinga, the ECWA Assistant General Secretary and some officials of the Christian Association were also present during the visit.
Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, had earlier directed that all medical bills for the treatment of the affected persons be settled by the state government.
Jatau conveyed Governor Yahaya and government deepest sympathies and prayed God for speedy recovery.
