The Daawa and relief organisation Gombe State branch on Sunday disclosed that it has resolved 46 cases of marriage disputes through arbitration out of 57 it recorded in 2024.
Chairman of the organisation, Dr Muhammad Lawan, made this disclosure during an overview of last year’s activities.

He disclosed that aside resolving marital disputes, the organisation engages providing services to orphans.
Lawan said, “Five cases were referred to court, eleven are pending. The organisation has over 50 orphans at the Tumfure Orphanage Home with over 2,000 registered in the state capital. 46 cases of marriage disputes were resolved through arbitration out of 57 reported in 2024.”
Speaking further Lawan explained that Daawa and Relief Organisation is also taking care of the less privileged and new covert, “with food items, medication and payment of their school fees,” he added.
Lawan called well meaning public and philanthropists to extend more assistance to the orphans, adding “the burden is beyond the available resources of the organisation because, lots of people contact the state office of Daawa for different assistance and needs like shelter, medication and food items.”
