Former Special Adviser on Health and current member Gombe State Drugs Management Agency Alhaji Dahiru Kala, was among few Nigerians honoured with the Ambassador of Peace Award from the United Nation’s Positive Livelihood Award Centre.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the award was in recognition of Kala’s remarkable track record and immense contribution to the successes recorded by the Sustainable Development Goals programmes in Gombe State and Nigeria at large.

Secretary to Government of Gombe State Professor Ibrahim Njodi, congratulated Kala for the recognition from the UN- POLAC, describing it as well deserved owing to his disposition to hard work, dedication and above all an advocate of peace..
Prof Njodi also tasked him on hard work and dedication for more of such recognitions, in order to make Gombe State proud.

Reacting, Kala dedicated the award to Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, government and people of Gombe State expressing gratitude to UN-POLAC for the honour.
