Gombe State University has received approval from the National Universities Commission to offer undergraduate programs in Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying, Bachelor of Science in Building Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Estate Management.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that these programmes will commence in the 2024/2025 academic session.
The acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sani Ahmed Yauta, announced this development after receiving the approval letter.
Yauta commended Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for his unwavering support.
Recall that the governor had earlier handed over a facility in Dukku LGA to GSU and provided funds to enhance infrastructure and operations for the Faculty of Environmental Science.
The University Management prioritised the invitation of the NUC for resource verification and organised orientation for newly recruited staff of the Dukku campus to ensure high standards.
Following the verification exercise, the NUC commended GSU for it’s facilities, with one NUC team member noting, “Even our universities do not have some of the buildings you are starting with.”
Admissions into the Faculty of Environmental Science will soon open for the following programmes:
1. B.Sc. Architecture
2. B.Sc. Quantity Surveying
3. B.Sc. Building Technology
4. B.Sc. Estate Management
