The All Progressives Congress, Taraba State chapter on Monday said stakeholders in the party have met, resolved all differences, and set to unseat Governor Agbu Kefas, in the 2027 election.
Alhaji Hassan Ardo Jika, the former Ambassador to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, told journalists in a phone conversation after a stakeholders meeting in Abuja that the party men have resolved to unite amidst PDP bad governance that has rather continue to place Taraba on the top list of poverty index states in the country.
According to the former Ambassador, the continue silent and disunity among APC stakeholders in Taraba was greatly encouraging bad governance, and needed immediate redress.
“I wish to inform Nigerians especially Tarabans that all differences among APC stakeholders in Taraba state have been resolved. We are now set to unseat governor Agbu Kefas in the 2017 election, and bring the desired good governance to the state.
“Our meeting yesterday in setting aside all differences, was the most successful in the history of the party. All stakeholders met and resolved to form a united opposition, and I can assure you that APC is set to take over Taraba.
“As you are aware, we have our internal challenges that have plagued the party since the last Primaries. Efforts have been ongoing to overcome these and move on since. Thank God, we have successfully achieved the desired result today. All stakeholders were present at the meeting,” the former Ambassador disclosed.
Meanwhile, Mr Aaron Artimas, the state party’s spokesperson told our Correspondent that the meeting was one among strategic meetings held to bring the party men together.
“This is just one of the meetings in a series of meetings held in the aftermath of the last Primaries of the party. It has been challenging bringing the people together to present a common front but thank God, the desired result has been achieved today,” Aaron confirmed.
