Member of House of Representatives, Ali Isa, on Friday distributed 25kg bags of rice to 2,000 constituents in Billiri/Balanga Federal Constituency to support them during the Ramadan, lent period.

PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that other items distributed include 10 tricycle trucks for haulage of agricultural produces and 10 motorcycles.
Some of the beneficiaries of the food palliative, trucks and motorcycles are non Peoples Democratic Party members.

Isa stated, “As a leader and member representing this constituency, I find it necessary to report progress to my people, and this time around is a unique period where our Christian and Muslim brothers are all fasting.”
He emphasised the importance of supporting his constituents, saying, “It’s the month of Ramadan and lent period, it’s important for us to support our people at all times. This is when they need support, particularly good intervention, to enable them to have a free and successful fasting period.”
Isa added, “Today, we are taking 2000 beneficiaries but the distribution in my constituency office from Monday and about 2000 will also benefit. We also intervened in haulage sector by providing them tricycle trucks to see how it will improve their business.”
He noted that about 2,000 more constituents would benefit from the distribution, which would take place in his constituency office starting from Monday.
On the decision to include individuals across party lines, Isa said, “I have always maintained fairness to ensure our people are represented. I’m a member representing the Federal Constituency and every person under this constituency I’m his member and it’s my responsibility to be fair to him whether he is in my party or not God has destined me to be the member.”
