“Mading died on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 after a brief illness. His death is the end of an era to us, and the Koking community, where he was widely respected for his leadership, humility, and dedication to the wellbeing of his people.
“The gospel preacher was born on October 9, 1940, and dedicated his life to service in both religious and public sectors. He attended the Christian Religious Instructor (CRI) before proceeding to Kakulu Bible School, now Kakulu Theological Seminary in 1972, where he deepened his theological education.
“He began his career as an evangelist, preaching the gospel and working to uplift his community spiritually. He later transitioned into public service as a local government health worker in Yorro Local Government Area, where he contributed significantly to grassroots healthcare delivery.
“His commitment to community development earned him the position of village head of Koking in Kassa Chiefdom, Yorro Local Government, a role he held until departure to his creator,” Ishaya, the deceased’s son announced.
