A group under the aegis of Gombe North All Progressives Congress Youth Mobilisation Forum has urged the leadership of the party in the state to consider picking Abdulmalik Musa as candidate to represent Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that Musa an astute business leader is a Regional Manager of Aero Contractors.
According to a press statement signed by the Chairman; Abubakar Abdulkarim kwami, Secretary; Ibrahim Usman, Public Relations Officer; Zakari Garba Zakari, none among previous representatives is from Kwami.
The forum added that Musa has provided dividends of democracy despite being in the private sector.
The group’s statement partly read, “Because he has been helping people for the past 10 to 15 years. He has sponsored many people to study, helped many sick individuals, and paid school fees for the underprivileged.He has the capacity and exposure needed to lead people.”
While harping the need for stakeholders to support Musa ahead of 2027 election, stressing that Kwami constituents were yet to produce a representative for the constituency.
“Since the inception of democracy, no one from Kwami has contested that seat, so the people feel marginalised. That’s why they are appealing to His Excellency, Inuwa Yahaya, to kindly consider zoning the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency seat to Kwami,” the group added.
