Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Lt. Cdr. Danzaria Nehemiah, an officer of the Nigerian Navy and nephew to the Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau.

Yahaya described the late naval officer as a fine gentleman, a disciplined military professional and a true patriot whose commitment to national service was evident in all he did.

This was contained in a press statement signed on Wednesday by Ismaila  Misilli, Director-General, Press Affairs, Government House, Gombe State which was obtained by our correspondent.

“The death of Lt. Cdr. Nehemiah is a huge loss to Gombe State, the Nigerian Navy and the nation at large. He was a shining example of hard work, integrity and excellence, both in his military career and academic pursuits. His service record, character, and faith were sources of pride and inspiration to many,” the governor stated.
