Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Lt. Cdr. Danzaria Nehemiah, an officer of the Nigerian Navy and nephew to the Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau.
Yahaya described the late naval officer as a fine gentleman, a disciplined military professional and a true patriot whose commitment to national service was evident in all he did.

This was contained in a press statement signed on Wednesday by Ismaila Misilli, Director-General, Press Affairs, Government House, Gombe State which was obtained by our correspondent.
“The death of Lt. Cdr. Nehemiah is a huge loss to Gombe State, the Nigerian Navy and the nation at large. He was a shining example of hard work, integrity and excellence, both in his military career and academic pursuits. His service record, character, and faith were sources of pride and inspiration to many,” the governor stated.

While condoling the Deputy Governor and the entire family, Governor Inuwa Yahaya also extended his heartfelt sympathies to the Nigerian Navy, noting that the fallen officer represented the very best of the values of Gombe State.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Gombe State, I convey our deepest condolences to His Excellency, Dr Manassah Jatau and the entire family, as well as to the leadership and personnel of the Nigerian Navy. May God Almighty grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest and give his loved ones the strength to bear this profound loss.”
Hailed from Gurma Village, in Kulani District of Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe State, Lt. Cdr. Nehemiah was a chartered member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the International Institute of Professional Security (IIPS).
