The Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has challenged the newly constituted chairman and members of the State Electoral Commission GOSIEC to manage their expectations in such a way that it does not affect the smooth running of government affairs.



Njodi gave this indication when he granted audience to the chairman and members of the commission who came calling to express their gratitude to Governor Inuwa Yahaya for appointing them to serve the State.
He intimated the appointees that their appointment to serve in the State Independent Electoral Commission GOSIEC was based on their individual track records, hence, the need for each of to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their responsibility in the commission.
The SGS stressed that the administration of Governor Yahaya is committed to strong institutions that posseses the capacity to deliver on the policy direction of government for the benefit of the people.
Speaking earlier, on behalf of members of the Commission, the chairman of the Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission GOSIEC Abdullahi Garba Talasse, expressed gratitude to the governor for reappointing them to serve the state.
He pledged that the commission would discharge its responsibilities within the armbit of the law.
