Popular relationship therapist and social media personality, BlessingCEO, has expressed strong disapproval over the recent arrest of businessman Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, describing the development as politically motivated and rooted in “tribal bias.”
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that IVD’s arrest is not unconnected to the issues surrounding his late wife Bimbo, who was alleged to have died over domestic violence.

In a series of impassioned remarks on Saturday, Blessing CEO insisted that IVD had done nothing to warrant his current detention and called on the Lagos State Government to intervene before the situation spirals out of control.
“I’ve never submitted any passport to the court,” she stated. “IVD’s passport was missing, and after two years into the case, he did a new one. There was no travel ban on him whatsoever. If there was, why would he make his travel plans public?”
Blessing CEO maintained that IVD had consistently cooperated with the law for over three years and questioned the rationale behind detaining him over what she described as a short, legitimate trip.
“He’s never jumped bail in three years of this ongoing case. Why would he run now for just a ten-day trip with a return ticket?” she asked.
Calling the arrest “a game of politics and dirty emotions,” Blessing demanded transparency from the authorities.
“What are you charging him for? Show us the paperwork. Why are you holding him hostage just to please a woman?” she queried, implying that the arrest was influenced by personal interests rather than legal merit.
She further alleged that IVD was being unlawfully detained without due process.
“Nobody arrested IVD. One man is using power to bully him. There’s no case file, no statement — they just said ‘Oga said hold him till Monday’ so they locked him up. For what?” she demanded.
Blessing CEO also raised concerns about the timing of the arrest, claiming it was strategically done when courts are on recess.
“They know the judges are on vacation, that is why they’re bullying him. How come bloggers know everything the police claim not to know? I wonder how much that woman paid you, Oga,” she said.
In an emotional appeal, she condemned what she perceived as a gender-based bias.
“Stop bullying IVD because he is a man. Stop intimidating him. Just because you couldn’t take his life, now you want to break him through harassment,” she added.
Calling on the Lagos State Government to take urgent action, she warned that the situation could deteriorate if left unchecked.
“Lagos State, please come into this before it gets messy. Why are they holding IVD?” she concluded.
