The former Minister of Transportation, Mu’azu Jaji Sambo, has called on the people of Taraba State to collectively work towards the overall growth and development of the state.
Sambo also felicitated with Governor Agbu Kefas and the people of Taraba State on the occasion of the state’s 35th anniversary, urging citizens and leaders to unite in unlocking the state’s full potential.
In a statement issued to newsmen on Thursday, Sambo described the 35-year milestone as a significant period of maturity, marked by shared struggles, triumphs and enduring possibilities.
He noted that at 35, the state had reached a stage where it must consciously address its challenges and meet the high expectations of its people.
Sambo said, “At 35, a state is no longer a child. It is an adult, mature enough to understand its journey, conscious of its challenges, and old enough to know that much more is expected of it.
“Thirty-five years is a journey of memories, struggles, triumphs, lessons and possibilities. It is also a reminder that the best chapters of our story can still be written.”
The former minister expressed hope for enduring peace, stability and sustainable economic growth across all communities in the state.
He also prayed for divine guidance for the state’s leadership and envisioned a future where youth empowerment and socioeconomic prosperity take centre stage in Taraba’s development agenda.
