The family of late Ms Zipporah Kela (Kulong), a rising star in Nigeria’s diplomatic service, has released the schedule of funeral rites following her recent passing.
According to the family, a Wake Keep will be held on Saturday, 9th August 2025, at 7:00 PM at ECWA Goodnews 1, FHA Nyanya, Abuja.
The remains of the late diplomat will depart Sahad Hospital, Apo Resettlement, Abuja, on Sunday, 10th August 2025, at 6:00 AM, en route to Tanglang in Billiri Local Government Area of Gombe State, her hometown.
The burial service is scheduled for Monday, 11th August 2025, at 10:00 AM, at ECWA 1 Church, Tanglang, in Billiri LGA. Internment will follow immediately after the service at the Prof. S. L. Kela family compound in Tanglang.
The family has also announced that a condolence register has been opened at her residence located at House 4, Road 4, Right Zone E, Apo Resettlement, Abuja.
Ms Kela, until her death, was serving on special assignment at the State House, Presidential Villa, Abuja, and was widely regarded as one of the most promising diplomats of her generation.
