The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has directed the distribution of customised police kits to officers and men of the Gombe State Command as part of ongoing efforts to improve personnel welfare and professional standards.
The distribution was carried out on Thursday during the monthly conference of the Gombe State Police Command, held at the Police Headquarters in Gombe, and was led by the Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Yahaya, on behalf of the IGP.
According to the Command, the kits distributed include camouflage, dark grey, neo blue, and synthetic yellow uniforms for Traffic Wardens, as well as belts, berets, black police shoes, various categories of line yards, badges, and ranks, among others.
Speaking during the exercise, CP Yahaya said the gesture underscored the IGP’s determination to boost morale and enhance professionalism in the Force.
He said, “The Inspector-General has made it clear that improved personnel welfare remains a key driver of effective policing and service delivery.
“We urge our officers to maintain cleanliness, dress properly, and uphold the professional standards of the Force, as the leadership continues to invest in their welfare.”
He further enjoined all personnel of the command to remain dedicated, disciplined, and professional in carrying out their constitutional duties, assuring them of continued reforms to improve their working conditions.
