At least ten local and international construction firms on Friday submitted bids for the construction of the Boboji Storm Water and Flood Control Project in Jalingo, Taraba State.

The Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project had earlier announced the call for tenders for the construction work.
Speaking during the bid opening, Taraba State Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Aishat Barde, said that in line with the ACReSAL/World Bank mandate—supported by the state government—fairness and transparency would be prioritized to ensure accountability and quality delivery.
She explained that the project was designed to address the recurring flood challenges in the Boboji axis and neighboring communities in Jalingo, which have witnessed loss of lives and destruction of properties.
“Due to the negative impact of flooding in this area, where lives and properties have been lost, ACReSAL has taken it as a priority to award this contract to tackle the menace. After due diligence in the evaluation process, a winner among the bidders will be revealed and given the contract,” the commissioner stated.
Firms that tendered bids for the project include: RSA Global Investment Ltd, BONZEAL Ltd, Zhonghao Construction Engineering Co. Ltd, Infrastructure Ltd (Nig), Havage Farabin JV, CGC Nig. Ltd, Stefanutti Stocks Hapel (Nig), Obtuse Tec Engineering & Construction Ltd, Zeka Global Company Ltd, and Asasco Nig. Ltd.
