The Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has heaped praises on the Chairman of Gombe Local Government Area, Barrister Sani Ahmadu Haruna, for boosting the council’s revenue base and ensuring peace and security within his domain.

Professor Njodi stated this when he received the Council of Gombe Local Government Area led by its chairman in his office.
He noted that before Barrister Haruna’s administration, the collection and utilisation of revenue in the council had always been shrouded in secrecy and ambiguity.
The SGS commended the governing council of Gombe LGA for its administrative ingenuity in not only improving revenue generation but also deploying the funds for developmental projects that benefit the people.
Speaking on the restriction of motorcycles in Gombe metropolis, Njodi explained that the decision was taken by security agencies in the state to safeguard the lives and property of law-abiding citizens.
He stressed that the restriction was borne out of government’s concern over persistent cases of murder and other heinous crimes perpetrated by criminal elements using motorcycles.
Earlier, the Chairman of Gombe Local Government Area, who also doubles as the State ALGON Chairman, Barrister Sani Ahmadu Haruna, said the delegation was at the SSG’s office to congratulate him on his new office complex built by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and to identify with his leadership in piloting the administrative affairs of the state.
Barrister Haruna noted that the successes recorded by his administration would not have been possible without the support and solidarity of his council members, traditional institutions, and other critical stakeholders.
He assured that Gombe Local Government Council would continue to operate as a team while maintaining an open-door policy, in line with Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s unwavering commitment to leaving the state better than he met it.
