The Special Adviser to the Governor of Taraba State on Legal Matters, Barr. Sani Marke, has said that Governor Agbu Kefas’ alignment with President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) will unlock the development potentials of the state.

Marke described the move as a visionary and bold decision, calling it a masterstroke of political wisdom anchored on the quest for accelerated development, stability, and inclusion for the people of Taraba State.

In a statement issued to journalists in Jalingo on Tuesday, Barr. Marke urged Governor Kefas to demonstrate uncommon courage and foresight by taking a step that transcends party politics and reflects genuine statesmanship.

He noted that Governor Kefas’ decision to work in synergy with the Federal Government under the APC-led administration represents a pragmatic path toward unlocking the full development potential of the state.

“It will once again prove that Governor Kefas is a true patriot who puts the interest of Taraba first. The decision to align with the centre is not about political convenience but about expanding the frontiers of opportunities for our people. This strategic realignment will ensure that Taraba is not left behind in the developmental agenda of the Federal Government,” Barr. Marke stated.

The Special Adviser expressed profound appreciation to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at both the state and zonal levels — including Senator David Jimkuta, Barr. Uba Maigari Ahmadu, Senator Sani Abubakar Danladi, Hon. Jerry Manwe, Hon. Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi, and the North East Zonal Chairman, Comrade Mustapha Salisu — for their statesmanlike disposition in welcoming Governor Kefas into the party’s fold.

He described their warm acceptance as further proof of the Governor’s reputation as a bridge-builder and a leader committed to inclusive governance, peace, and development across party lines.

“The solidarity shown by the APC family in Taraba and the North East is commendable. It sends a strong message of unity and collective responsibility towards moving our dear state forward,” Barr. Marke added.

He further called on all Tarabans, regardless of political affiliation, to rally behind Governor Agbu Kefas at this historic moment, emphasizing that the Governor’s possible defection would mark the dawn of a new era of progress and political stability in the state.

“This is the time for all of us to unite behind a common vision of prosperity and transformation. The Governor has laid the foundation for a new Taraba — one that will benefit from national partnerships, federal collaboration, and renewed political harmony,” he said.

Barr. Marke reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty and total commitment to the leadership of Dr. Agbu Kefas, pledging to mobilize broad-based support for the Governor’s political agenda and re-election in 2027.

“As a loyal aide and devoted supporter, I am fully aligned with His Excellency’s vision. I will work tirelessly to mobilize our people, galvanize stakeholders, and ensure that the Kefas Development Agenda continues beyond 2027. The Governor has redefined governance in Taraba, and the people will continue to stand by him,” he declared.
