Success Ossai, the media aide to the Governor of Delta State, has expressed disappointment in activist Harrison Gwamnishu for failing to publicly acknowledge a financial donation allegedly made to him by music executive Don Jazzy.
In a Facebook post, Ossai said he was displeased that Gwamnishu did not mention the amount reportedly given to him by Don Jazzy to support his humanitarian initiatives.
He wrote, “Harrison, I am disappointed in you for not mentioning the amount my brother Don Jazzy gave to you to support your initiative.”
Ossai drew a comparison with online activist Very Dark Man (VDM), who had publicly announced receiving ₦100 million from Don Jazzy, though he claimed the funds were later misused.
He added, “When he gave Very Dark Man ₦100 million, VDM announced it even though the money has been misused. I know you are different from Very Dark Man.”
The governor’s aide revealed that he had earlier considered donating to Gwamnishu’s cause before Don Jazzy made his contribution. However, he said he would now withhold any donation to avoid potential disappointment.
“I thought of donating something to you, Harrison Gwamnishu, before my brother Don Jazzy donated. If I donate now, you will be disappointed, so I don’t want you to be disappointed in me,” Ossai wrote.
He concluded by saying he would rather offer prayers than money, stating, “I will just continue praying for you even though I am disappointed in you. At least, prayer is better than money.”
