Course 34 of the National Defence College (NDC), Abuja, has conferred an award of meritorious service on the Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, in recognition of his contribution to the smooth and successful completion of the College’s study tour of Gombe State.

The presentation was made during a gala night organised in honour of the course participants by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Gombe, on Friday, marking the climax of the study tour.

Presenting the award, the team leader, Brigadier General Adeleke Olumide Ojo, appreciated the role played by the SSG in coordinating the events through his office. He also commended officials of the Gombe State Government for their support and commitment, which, according to him, contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of the tour.
Four other government representatives who worked closely with the team were equally recognised for their exceptional conduct during the five-day study tour. They are the Commissioner for Special Duties and Regional Integration, Shehu Yerima Abdullahi; the Special Adviser on Security, Abubakar Aminu Musa; the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Security, Yusuf Musa Danbayo; and the Principal Information Officer in the SGS’ Office, Joshua Danmallam.
