United Nigeria Airlines has confirmed the deboarding of two popular social media personalities — Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkman, and Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, popularly called Mr. Jollof — following an altercation on Monday morning at the Asaba International Airport.
The incident occurred during the boarding of Flight UN0523 on 17 November 2025.

In a statement issued by the airline’s Public Relations Officer, Chibulke Uloka, the carrier said its crew acted “immediately and professionally” in line with global aviation safety standards.
“Our crew responded promptly to de-escalate the situation in full compliance with global aviation safety protocols,” the statement read.
“Both passengers were deboarded without delay to ensure the safety, comfort, and security of all other passengers and crew members.”
According to the airline, the two men were handed over to airport security for further investigation.
Uloka added that United Nigeria Airlines maintains a strict policy against disruptive behaviour.
“United Nigeria Airlines places the highest priority on safety and maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any conduct that threatens the security or well-being of passengers or crew,” he said.
The airline confirmed that after completing all standard safety procedures, the flight departed Asaba without the two passengers, who remained with airport authorities.
United Nigeria Airlines reiterated its commitment to safe and dignified air travel across its routes.
“We remain firmly committed to providing a safe, respectful, and secure travel experience across our network,” the statement added.
