The Gombe State branch of the Izala Islamic organisation has organised a two-day seminar for Islamic scholars in the state.
The seminar, held at the Emerald Hilltop Conference Hall in Gombe, brought together participants from the eleven local government areas of the state, drawn from seventeen branches of the organisation.

Speaking during the programme, Salisu Muhammad Gombe said the seminar was organised to strengthen Islamic scholarship, following a similar programme recently held by another Islamic group.
He urged participants to pass on the knowledge gained to their members in order to broaden Islamic understanding.
Also speaking, Abdurrasheed Abdulganiyyu said the seminar focuses on book reviews covering the Muslim political system, ethics, Da’awa methodology, as well as the aims and objectives of Sharia law.
Some participants, including Abdullahi Muhammad Jabir, described the seminar as timely and beneficial.
About four resource persons are expected to present papers at the programme.
