Outgoing Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Kashere (FUK), Professor Umaru A. Pate, has expressed satisfaction with his tenure, stating that he is fulfilled and happy to be leaving after serving the institution to the best of his ability.

Professor Pate made the remark on Wednesday, during a valedictory session held in his honour at the Council Chambers of the university, where members of management and staff poured glowing tributes on his leadership and achievements.
While presenting a comprehensive account of his stewardship, the outgoing Vice-Chancellor highlighted key milestones recorded during his tenure, including infrastructural development, academic growth, improved staff welfare, and the successful resolution of lingering court cases involving the university.
He thanked the Governing Council, management, staff, and students for their cooperation and support throughout his administration, noting that the collective efforts of all stakeholders contributed to the successes recorded.
The event featured emotional tributes from senior officials who described Professor Pate as a visionary leader, mentor, and bridge-builder whose tenure strengthened the institution’s stability and reputation.
