President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Wednesday appointed the Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Yahaya, as Renewed Hope Ambassador and Secretary for Party Outreach, Engagement and Mobilisation.

The appointment was conveyed in a letter personally signed by President Tinubu, directing Governor Yahaya to assume the role with immediate effect.
This was contained in a press statement signed by Ismaila Misilli, Director-General Press Affairs Gombe Government House.
In the letter, the President outlined the broad responsibilities of the new assignment, charging Governor Inuwa Yahaya to work closely with the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, the national leadership of the APC, and particularly the National Chairman, to ensure harmony, inclusiveness and strategic coordination across all levels of the party’s mobilisation and engagement architecture.
According to the President, Governor Yahaya is also expected to galvanise, promote and effectively disseminate the party’s programmes, policies, milestones and achievements, with a view to strengthening public confidence in the APC and reinforcing the message of Renewed Hope across the length and breadth of Nigeria.
The letter further stated that the overall objective of the appointment is to ensure that Nigerians are fully informed, deeply engaged and ultimately mobilized to support the APC and its candidates at all levels, as part of a comprehensive strategy for broad national acceptance and electoral success in the 2027 polls.
“Preparation is critical and essential to achieving this outcome, and your leadership will be central to guiding this process effectively and strategically,” President Tinubu said.
Governor Yahaya’s appointment the statement disclosed is a recognition of his outstanding leadership credentials, political acumen, organisational capacity and grassroots mobilisation strength, which have continued to distinguish him both within the APC and in national governance.
As Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF), Governor Yahaya has demonstrated exceptional capacity for consensus-building, strategic engagement and regional coordination, playing a stabilising role in national political discourse and governance.
