Anthony Placid has been appointed as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force, replacing Benjamin Hundeyin.
Placid, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, brings extensive experience in administration, operations, intelligence, training, and international peacekeeping to the role.
He has served in various strategic capacities, including as Police Public Relations Officer in Adamawa State and Chief of Training for the African Union Mission in Sudan.
Placid holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Regional Planning from the University of Uyo, a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the University of Jos, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws degree at the National Open University of Nigeria.
He is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police and a Commonwealth Human Rights Trainer
