The Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the 30-day Ramadan fast.

In a statement issued on Friday, Prof. Njodi congratulated Muslims in Gombe State and across Nigeria, urging them to sustain the virtues and lessons of Ramadan in their daily lives, particularly in promoting peace, unity, and compassion.
He extended special greetings to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Emir of Gombe, Abubakar Shehu Abubakar, the Mai Kaltungo, Engr. Saleh Mohammed, as well as other traditional rulers, judicial officers including the Chief Judge and Grand Khadi, members of the Gombe State House of Assembly, the State Executive Council, and local government chairmen.
Njodi also called on residents of the state to continue praying for peace, stability, and progress, while supporting government policies and programmes aimed at development.
Meanwhile, Prof. Njodi joined the Mai Kaltungo, Engr. Saleh Mohammed, and hundreds of Muslim faithful to observe the two-rakat Eid prayer at the Kaltungo Eid Prayer Ground. The prayers were led by the Chief Imam, Sheikh Mohammed Isah.
During the occasion, Njodi conveyed Governor Yahaya’s goodwill message to the people, emphasising the importance of peaceful coexistence and collective responsibility in building a better society.
The Eid celebration in Kaltungo was peaceful and well-attended, with notable personalities including the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mohammed Dantata Ndus, Chairman of Kaltungo Local Government Area, Dr. Iliya Suleiman, and other government officials in attendance.
