“Applicants are requested to log in to the recruitment portal to check their status and print the required documents, which must be presented at the screening venue on the date and time indicated on their invitation slip,” he said.
He listed the documents to be printed as the guarantors form, application submission slip, invitation slip, credentials screening form and physical screening form.
The police spokesperson explained that candidates must present their invitation slip indicating the assigned table, original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by the National Identity Management Commission, O’Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, and certificate of local government or state of origin.
Other requirements include trade test certificates for specialist applicants and a duly completed guarantors form with photocopies and passport photographs of referees attached.
“Applicants are also required to present both original and duplicate copies of their credentials neatly packaged in two separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached,” Abdullahi added.
He stressed that all candidates must be of good character and physically and medically fit, urging them to maintain discipline and order throughout the screening process.
The spokesperson also warned applicants to be wary of fraudsters, stressing that the recruitment exercise is completely free.
“The Command wishes to state that the screening exercise is absolutely free of charge. Applicants are therefore strongly advised to beware of fraudsters and individuals who may attempt to extort money from them under the guise of offering assistance in the recruitment process,” he said.
Abdullahi added that the Commissioner of Police in the state, Umar Ahmed Chuso, assured the public that the exercise would be conducted transparently in line with the directives of the Police Service Commission and the Nigeria Police Force.
