The Kano State Security Neighborhood Watch Corps has intensified efforts to bolster grassroots security, as its Sector 4 Command convened a strategic meeting with Local Government Commanders in Bichi Local Government Area.

The meeting, held at the Sector 4 Headquarters, brought together commanders from the eleven local government areas under the sector to review the prevailing security situation and chart a way forward for improved operations.
Addressing participants, Sector Commander, Flight Lieutenant M. A. Julde (Rtd), said the gathering was aimed at assessing current security challenges and enhancing the Corps’ response capacity.
“This session is to critically review the general security situation across the sector, identify operational challenges, and develop effective strategies to improve our security measures and emergency response operations,” he said.
Julde explained that discussions at the meeting centered on key operational concerns, including strengthening collaboration with stakeholders, improving logistics, and enhancing personnel welfare.
“We discussed the need for stronger stakeholder engagement to secure community support, partnership with other security agencies, provision of identity cards for our personnel, and improved funding and welfare. Logistics for commanders and discipline within the Corps were also given serious attention,” he added.
He further disclosed that all eleven Local Government Commanders under Sector 4 were in attendance, noting that the meeting ended with a renewed commitment to professionalism and improved service delivery.
“We have resolved to strengthen our operations through improved discipline, enhanced training, and stronger collaboration with stakeholders, while also advocating for increased government support,” Julde stated.
The local government areas under Sector 4 include Bagwai, Bichi, Dambatta, Dawakin Tofa, Gabasawa, Gezawa, Ghari, Makoda, Minjibir, Tofa, and Tsanyawa, with Bichi serving as the sector headquarters.
