The All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Guyuk/Shelleng Constituency was conducted peacefully, with Chief Golfa Mallum Chaugwarau emerging as the widely accepted candidate to fly the party’s flag in the 2027 general elections.

The announcement was made at the APC secretariat in Guyuk by the party’s electoral official, Ezekiel Fuu, who was delegated to oversee the primary election process in the constituency.

Party stakeholders and government officials who monitored the exercise commended the orderly conduct of delegates and party members throughout the process.

Among those present at the event were the APC Chairman in Guyuk Local Government Area, Ishaku Dauda, the LGA Chairman, Shalom Kasaa; and the Adamawa State Commissioner for Transport, Wunfe Anthony, alongside other top party and government officials.
Speaking after the exercise, Ezekiel Fuu praised the delegates for maintaining peace and discipline during the primary election, describing the process as transparent and hitch-free.

Chief Golfa Mallum, popularly known as “Mama Mai Transformer,” has gained popularity across the constituency for initiating and supporting developmental projects despite not currently occupying any political office.

Supporters at the venue described her emergence as a reflection of the confidence reposed in her leadership capacity and grassroots contributions to community development in the constituency.
Ten Aspirants contested in the Party Primary election in Guyuk LGA, however, Golfa Mallim emerge as the winner.
The peaceful conduct of the primary election is seen by party leaders as a positive signal ahead of preparations for the 2027 general elections in Adamawa State.
