The National Secretary of the Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU) has called on members to remain patient as discussions on the CONHESS adjustment continue.
This was contained in a press release issued by JOHESU amid the growing wave of anxiety and agitation among its members over the long-awaited CONHESS adjustment table.
The National Secretary of JOHESU, Mr. Martin Egbanubi, appealed to members to remain patient, noting that discussions were still ongoing.
According to him, the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) meeting is currently in progress and is expected to finally address the CONHESS adjustment issue, which has remained unresolved since 2014.
He stated that the condition for the resumption of the CBA meeting was that the CONHESS adjustment would be treated as a priority in the current engagement process.
“As noted in our last update, we are deliberately withholding some information from public platforms in order to prevent leakages, as similar situations in the past have sabotaged our struggle on this important demand,” he said.
He therefore urged JOHESU members nationwide to remain calm and patient while negotiations continue.
